Exam Structure & Focus Areas
Step 1 – Basic Science
- Format: 1 day (8 hours), 7 blocks (280 MCQs)
- Passing: Pass / Fail (No score reporting)
- Focus: Basic sciences, pathology, microbiology, pharmacology, biostatistics, and public health.
Step 2 CK – Clinical Knowledge
- Format: 1 day (9 hours), 8 blocks (318 MCQs)
- Passing Score: 214
- Focus: Internal medicine, OB/GYN, pediatrics, psychiatry, surgery, preventive medicine, biostatistics, and clinical reasoning.
Step 3 – Clinical Practice
- Format: 2 days (MCQs + 13 Case Simulations)
- Day 1: Foundations of Independent Practice (7 hours, MCQs)
- Day 2: Advanced Clinical Medicine (9 hours)
- Passing Score: 198 – 200
- Focus: Medical ethics, patient management, biostatistics, clinical simulations.
